Automatic Payments

Important information about setting up automatic payments from your checking account.

Using your checking account’s automatic payments feature is an easy way for you to pay bills without writing and mailing checks each month. However, when setting up an automatic payment/draft from your account, there are certain numbers needed to make sure your payment is made correctly. These numbers can be found at the bottom of your checks. The example below shows what numbers are required:

The routing number consists of 9 digits and identifies that the funds will come from MAX Credit Union.
The MICR Account Number consists of 14 digits. To ensure the payment will be processed, the entire 14 digit number will need to be provided.
The check number may or may not be required. It will depend on how you are making the payment.

If you have further questions regarding Automatic Payments/Drafts, please contact the myMAX Service Center at 334.260.2600 or 800.776.6776.
